Things change....

When you plan something I find that it has a tendency to take longer or to not happen how you had previously planned. Unfortunately bands are not protected from this everyday occurrence. People are getting older, and that brings along more commitments and not enough time to do all of them. Justin is going to be leaving Rogue Sounds to focus more on school. This was a hard decision for him but he's decided that is the best route for him. Justin has been here since the beginning so it's very hard to see him go but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, and I support him 100%

So what is going to happen to Rogue Sounds?? We are going to take some time to regroup and recharge the batteries. I don't want this band to end but it's going to have to hibernate for now. A lot of things have happened this year but giving up isn't one of those things I've decided to start doing. Hopefully you'll be hearing from us in the next couple of months when things are in a greater state.

New Record, Tour Plans

We now have a name for our new record, we've decided on "Jupiter, And Beyond The Infinite" and drum tracking starts this Saturday. We're super stoked to get some new jams down so everyone can see why we've been laying low. As for shows we probably won't be playing any until late August or early September.

We are planning on doing another tour this coming Winter most likely in January again. We are talking to a couple bands that might be interested. We are planning on another West Coast Tour with more stops this time, including Idaho, Nevada, Arizona and maybe some other states. Hopefully next time I write in this we'll have the record done and ready for everyone's ears.

How the time flys...

Wow it's been quite some time since I've written anything. So time to get down to business, I know we've been promising our full length to come out soon and now I can actually tell you there are dates planned for the recording. We'll be starting in May and finishing everything up in June if everything goes as planned. We want to put this record out on vinyl but we're being realistic and thinking there is probably going to be a digital release first then vinyl will come after.

We did want this record to be done a lot sooner but a lot of shit happened that was out of our control. It has been a long hard battle, filled with member changes, money problems and any other obstacle life can throw at group of musicians. We are still looking for a full time bass player and are trying to get another guitar player. If anyone's interested in playing, get in contact.

Winter Tour 2011: Success!

Our first tour was a fucking blast. We really didn't have any terrible mishaps which was awesome and we met so many people, some amazing, and some bad but it's all part of the experience right? We want to extend a huge thank you to anyone that hosted us/bought some merch/gave us some food. We got to play with some really awesome bands and make a lot of new friends.

As for now, we're going to be laying low and writing more new songs. We probably won't be playing any shows or touring till the summer some time.

Winter Tour 2011 Diary 2

The last couple of days have been some of the best of the tour for sure. The Portland show was a lot of fun, playing with Caravels, Solar Bear, Octaves was cool, all really good bands. After Portland we headed up to Everett, WA to stay with Justin's mom which was nice and refreshing. Then we played Seattle the next day which was pretty cool we met two really cool bands, Silhouettes and Smile For Diamonds, definitely check out those two bands.

We played Eugene, OR the next day and got to see A LOT of homeless people. One homeless dude came up to Brian in front of the venue and asked him if he wanted to buy a crack pipe. Later that night he came into the bar and showed us "his collection" which was just a bunch of crack pipes and by the way this guy had no teeth and smelt of death. We played with 2 good bands, Animal R&R and Moher which definitely made the show much more fun, not to mention the bums came inside to dance for all the bands. Here are some photos over the last couple of days enjoy.

Winter Tour 2011 Diary 1

We're having a blast so far even though we've only played one show so far. Kimo's Bar in San Fran was a lot of fun, we played with 3 other awesome bands: Crawler, Commissure , and Manifest-all SF locals that drew a nice crowd and put on an awesome show. We want to thank all those bands a lot for making the show so fun. Special thanks to Mark and everyone else in Crawler-those guys are awesome and they played a sweet set.

Now we're in Portland, just relaxing and watching "Home Alone" at a sweet little apartment in Downtown (big thanks to Chelsea for putting us up). We're playing tonight with a bunch of cool bands at Ash Street Saloon in downtown, and we're expecting it to be another awesome show. Here are some photos... we will post more in couple days
